Incidence of Cardiovascular Diseases in India and Across the Globe

Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the leading cause of death globally, contributing to a significant public health burden. In India, the incidence of CVDs has increased rapidly due to urbanization, lifestyle changes, and rising metabolic risk factors. Globally, while high-income countries show a decline in CVD mortality, low- and middle-income nations face growing challenges. Major risk factors include hypertension, diabetes, obesity, smoking, and unhealthy dietary habits. This study compares the incidence of cardiovascular diseases in India and worldwide to identify trends and prevention strategies.
